Degree may be from anywhere in world as long as the institute is accredited by local accredeting body. I checked U21 and really could not understand its legal status. It looks like a group of universities under one umbrella body. As long as you have a degree from a accredited university, you are fine.
Once again, you will need a Masters degree , a diploma will mostly not work (but check with attorney)

per my lawyer you can come back from EAD to H1 by filing a new H1 petition (if its past 6 years on H1, then you need some basis like approved I-140 or old LC). You will need to leave the US and return to activate the H1. So thats always an option if you jump to EAD.
In your case, you can still file a H1 transfer, if it comes without an I-94 attached (meaning H1 got transferred, but status was not activated which typically happens when last H1 status ended more than a couple of weeks ago like in your case) all you need to do is leave the US and return some PoE where you will get hte new I-94
You cannot come back on H1 once you cross 6 years and you have switched to EAD. For you to get H1 extensions beyond 6 years based on pending GC , you should already be in H status. If you are not in H status (e.g. EAD or some other status) then you cannot get H without being outside for 1 year and being counted in quota again.

I received an RFE too in Nov 1st week. It was about the evaluation. (It was submitted earlier but still) Lawyer mailed them the required document and now the status has changed to "We received your response to the request on Nov 14th and the case processing has resumed".
How many days does it take them now to make a decision? (Btw I am EB3 and my 140 submission date was Nov 2006)

I agree, support from any org or forum is good for our cause and would definitely broden our support base.
I have seen couple of postings from 'gc_2010', they sound negative, it is better to ingnore them rather then taking pains to clarrify those postings.

Im july 5th filer .NSC_CSC_NSC.got my EAD on 20th december07.AP still pendind at CSC (RFE).opened SR for FP in october and got FP notice next day .Obvously SR had nothing to do .SR was replied after 45 days and says "status of I-485 USCIS is waitinf biometrics information to produce permanent residency card .I had filed 140 and 485 conc.and my PD is current .I had seen lot of NSC_CSC_NSC got their FP notices in mid november .

He will have the H1 status until the expiry date. But only thing he may not be able to transfer H1 if there is no other case is pending.
Youre allowed to stay in H1 status for 6 years. If you want to extend it over 6 years, that extension will be based on the EB petition (you need an LC and approved I-140). If that EB petition is denied and denied again thru appeals (MTRs), you are out of status.

But this seems to be untrue in the (sanz72 ) case quoted in my previous post on this thread. USCIS denied the I485 application of the applicant and he had to file MTR and wait for a long time to have it opened. One can only imagine the frustration and anxiety he must have suffered during that time.
MTRs do not work all the time as per the experience of some people.
Moral of the story-- GC journey for legal high skilled people is very tough and luck plays an important role in getting a GC.

Yes, Many just browse and forget it. If they have a question, they will register and post into the forum. To post a response/question you have to be registered. Those people are taken care of and are members. How ever, its those bunch of people who dont have a specific issue at this time and are just watching over. I feel that any given time 60-70 % of the guest are just watchers (I mean not anti-immi, reporters etc ). If we can entice half of them that gets us going a lot. Registered members will any way login as soon as they are on the website and will not be bothered by popups. The pop up should come only once per session.

I think iV should aggressively focus on recapture of visas, 1 visa per family(Hillary Clinton already supports us on this and we can rope in Zoe loe****

Because of illegals granted amnesty any legal immigrant filing after Apil 30, 2001 faced longer waits and backlogs because they consumed the existing quota of immigrant visas. In essencem legals were penalized for obeying the law and standing in line.
Let's do a poll to see how many EB3IND folks will be willing to be a party to a class action lawsuit to provide relief. Obviosuly if the lawsuit prevails the plaintiff's pending GC applications will be approved. GCOP, mirage or anyone else- want to put up a poll (i don't know how to do it)
This might be a better option for many who cannot do a Writ of Mandamus lawsuit

I-102 will not work you need to file I-539 for extension of I-94.
I-102 is for replacement I-94.
I am sorry but the rules clearly state that passport needs to be 6 months beyond the intendent travel period.
Unfortunately for H1 that could mean several months or 2-3 years.
fork up $300 unless you plan to be put of status or can find a cheaper way of flying out to Mexico/canada and flying back in.

If 200 more people contribute, we can open an UK branch of IV to address issues faced by high skilled immigrants (who can't even pay 20 bucks a month) in UK. May be these high skilled immigrants are very low paid since they can't even afford 20 bucks a month for this noble cause.

You are making an assumption that an approved petition is an indication of a valid status for the entire duration of extension. This may or may not be true after the I-140 is revoked.
It is kind of dicey...If you are quick enough you can pull it off...
You can refer to some posts up above that some people have actually done it..
Especially if you are laid off you have not much to lose and try something ...
USCIS has traditionally not taken a hard line against H1B as far as I know...
