It has been repeated 'Ad Nauseam' times. IVs agenda includes all of these -
1) Increasing GC numbers
2) Recapturing numbers and instituting permanent Rollover mechanisms
3) Eliminate country quotas.
IV understands that removing just the country quota will impact ROW badly if visa numbers are not increased in tandem. Hence you always see the three points being proposed together. These 3 have to go together. A compromise between ROW and oversubscribed countries.
But some ROW members keep trying to split the movement by opposing removal of country quotas ( which is point 2 in IV agenda) at every possible opportunity. Real way to build a coalition is through compromise. And in a compromise you can't get all you want. Don't expect the majority to heed all your demands.
Be a little appreciative of the sufferings of others. If you think a little extra time you need to spend in the queue is turning you so angry, what goes in the mind of a person who has to spend twice or thrice as much time in the same queue, for no fault of his/hers?
Don't BS on 'diversity'. There is already a 'diversity visa' which Indians & Chinese cannot use. Want to come under diversity? Apply in the lottery. Be a little humane and think about the suffering of others. May be you'll see the light. You are not going to win many friends by alleging "an agenda by some country". It's preposturous, laughable and Dobbsian ( like Lou Dobbs alleged "invasion by Mexicans")

If you are really bright (as you claim that u graduated from best college of Rajasthan), then you should not worry about wages. Bright people always find jobs and make money irrespective of how many people are in the market.
I feel that after getting your GC you starting enjoying life and forgot to upgrade your skills. may be you came to USA after doing one month course in Java or COBOL during late 1990's.

Also keep in mind all the people with old PDs that filed 140 and 485 at the same time and are now stuck in the 140 mess. As soon as that starts clearing out there will be a lot more demand for GC. I'm afraid we'll have to wait for some more time before it moves forward.

Whats your EB3 PD. You can join company C anytime assuming that it has been more than six months since you filed your I-485. Company C can start the EB2 process should you choose to. However bear in mind that this process will also take some time.

riends need ur suggestion/help regarding the following matter:
filed my I-485 in july 07. submitted my G325A form. didnt filed for my wifes AOS. since she was in india and we were mutually drifting apart. only mentioned her name in the G325A form, since she was still legally my wife.
Now the official relief came as divorce this month.
my question is do i need to send USCIS an updated G325A mentioning about my divorce? (along with a divorce certificate)
will it create any problem when I try to include my next better half in future.

Just about everybody from ROW is currently filing in eb2 and using up the visas and there is less to filter down to eb3.
AC21 re-allocated visas every quarter if the total demand was less then the total visas available. This is not currently the situation. Therefore, the visas won't filter down to eb3 which went unused. This gives a chance for people from ROW to keep filing in eb1 and eb2. In the last quarter is when you will see the jump, if any because the unused visas will get allocated at that time.(keep in mind that BEC's are also releasing labors - as far as I know the april 2001 labors from california have not been approved yet; and there are a great number from that state).
In the last year I know of at least three people and I imagine there are thousands more who did this:

They have a pre-arrangement with a company or relative to find a company who will file perm labor in eb2; file 140 and 485 and then stay and get their greencard this way. In my opinion MMS may be a nice person and may be a good economist, but it wasn't him who was running the govt. and it will not be him if he comes back again. It is a very common practice in India, a chemist will run a chemist shop but the License is in somebody else's name. Here also same thing happened, you saw Manmohan Singh on PM's chair, but it was somebody else who was running the show, and it is deception & dishonesty to your voters. You may praise Laloo for all the Railway turn around, but the reality is the foundation was layed by then Railway Minister "Nitish Kumar", AI/AI became profitable under "Rajiv Pratap Rudy" . There were people like "Suresh Prabhu", "Yashwant Sinha", "Arun Shourie", all of them did tremendous Jobs in their cabinet.
